APRIL 2009 NEWS UPDATE

 
Dear Members

We are now in the final preparation for the visit of 37 friends from Chatelaillon, who arrive in Knebworth on Wednesday 29 April. Twenty-two families in and around Knebworth have offered to be hosts. We have a full programme of activities, as listed below, and there are a few seats available on the coach to Kew Gardens for anyone who would like to join us*. Our programme will be:

 

Wednesday 29 April Arrive about 20:00 with Reception at Trinity Hall
Thursday 30 April Visit to Bletchley Park or free time with hosts Evening visit to Kiss Me Kate at Gordon Craig (optional)
Friday 1 May Free day with hosts
Saturday 2 May Visit to Kew Gardens by coach – extra seats available*
Sunday 3 May Joint Committee Meeting
Bluebell Walk in Knebworth Park
Visit to Knebworth House
Evening: 60’s party at Knebworth Village Hall
Monday 4 May Departure to Stansted Airport
* Kew Gardens: Tickets are £11 (reduced Group rate) + £10 (coach).

For the rest of this year, we have organised more social events to help raise funds, so please help to support us! They are:

Saturday 6 June Knebworth Festival Mini Fete – Pineau Tasting

Thursday 11 June - Wine Tasting by connoisseur Bill Creighton who will present a selection of fine wines by Hedley Wright Wine Merchants. Light supper, wine-related raffle. Tickets £9 for KTA members, £11 otherwise. Tickets from Festival Box Office, 60 Orchard Way, Knebworth, SG36BU or Ann Judge 01438 813862

Saturday 28 November - Barn Dance with Harry’s Band – supper, raffle and bar at Knebworth Village Hall. Make a note in your diary now – tickets on sale later.
