AUGUST 2008 NEWS UPDATE

We are delighted at the interest shown in the Twinning’s activities at the Festival Fête and at the Knebworth School Fun Day on July 14th. Thank you to the families who have signed up to be on our mailing list and to find out more about our activities.

There are many exciting plans for the future – for our young footballers to play in a tournament in France, for a tennis exchange, for correspondence between pupils in our local schools, for a visit here next April etc, etc.

Our next fund raising event is the talk described below. Everybody is welcome!

TONY ROOK, WELL KNOWN LOCAL HISTORIAN AND AUTHOR,

will be back with the

HISTORY OF KNEBWORTH PART II

on Friday Sept 26th

Doors open at 7.30 pm
in Knebworth Village Hall.

The illustrated talk will be followed by a drink and nibbles
and an opportunity to socialise.

Organised by Knebworth Twinning Association.
Tickets: £7, or £5 for KTA members,
