| DOGS BANNED FROM KNEBWORTH RECREATION GROUND? |
Will dog walking soon become a thing of the past in Knebworth Recreation Ground?
Following a recent incident in the recreation ground, when two dogs started fighting, we have heard there is a move afoot to stop local residents exercising their dogs, whilst off of a lead. Apparently, a 'loose' dog attacked a dog on its lead, which then retaliated, severely biting the attacker. It is a sad that this isolated incident could affect all dog walkers. I would have thought that a more common problem is that of fouling, amazingly, some walkers still don't pick up the mess their dogs leave. Perhaps walkers should not be allowed into the grounds unless they have a disposable bag with them. After all, if you haven't got a bag then you haven’t got the intention to dispose of any mess.

| KNEBWORTH RUNNERS NETWORK |
Liz Kirby and her friend started running training in January 2011 in preparation for a 10k charity run. Mow they are fitter than ever and totally hooked on the buzz they get from running; so much so that they decided to look for a local running club. Then it occurred to them, why drive to a running club when there are lots of beautiful running routes around Knebworth?
If you are interested in helping create or join a Knebworth runners' network, please contact Liz at lizkirby63@gmail.com. It doesn't matter what your motivation is - competition, getting fitter or simply becoming better acquainted with your fellow villagers. |
